Stripe and Xero integration, with payouts that reconcile.
Stripe pays you in one lump after fees and refunds, so Xero sees a single bank line. We record the sales, fees and refunds behind it, so the payout matches.

When Stripe and Xero do not match
- Each Stripe payout is one bank line, and nobody can say which sales are in it.
- Stripe's fees are missing from Xero, or entered by hand at month end.
- Refunds and disputes leave the books out by small amounts nobody can trace.
- You take payments on a website, a booking system and Xero invoices, all through Stripe.
- An app syncs the totals, but not the detail your accountant wants.
What you get
Each payout broken down
The sales, fees, refunds and disputes in each payout recorded in Xero, so the bank line matches.
Sales recorded properly
Each sale, or a daily summary if your accountant prefers, with the right account codes and VAT.
Payments matched
Each payment matched to the right contact and, where there is one, the right Xero invoice.
Told when it fails
A payout that does not balance is flagged when it arrives, not found at the year end.
How it works
A short paid review
We look at where you take Stripe payments, how Xero is set up and what your accountant needs, and tell you whether an app will do.
A fixed price for the build
You get the scope and a fixed price in writing. If you go ahead, what you paid for the review counts towards it.
Built in stages, tested first
We test against Xero's demo company, then run it beside your usual process until the payouts match.
Support afterwards
We host it, watch it and update it when Stripe or Xero change, with an agreed amount of small changes each month.
Payments and connections we have built
We have not published a Stripe to Xero connector yet. This is the closest real work: card payments taken inside systems we built, and one system driving another on its own.
An app, or a connector built for you?
Start with what exists. If you only take card payments on Xero invoices, Xero's own Stripe option records those payments for you. Apps in the Xero App Store also bring Stripe payouts into Xero, and for many businesses one of those is enough. A built connector is the better choice when:
- You have your own rules for account codes, tracking or VAT that the app cannot follow.
- Stripe is one of several systems feeding Xero.
- The app does not handle your case: subscriptions, part refunds, more than one currency or payments taken for others.
- You need it watched, and someone told when a payout does not balance.
If an app will do the job, the review says so, and you are not asked to buy a build.
Questions
Can I integrate Stripe with Xero?
Yes. Xero has its own Stripe option for card payments on Xero invoices, and apps in the Xero App Store bring in payouts from elsewhere. When those do not fit, a connector can be built on the two systems' APIs.
Why does my Stripe payout not match my sales?
Stripe pays out your sales less its fees, refunds and any disputes, often several days of sales at once. The connector records each of those in Xero, so the payout reconciles.
Do I pay tax on Stripe payments?
Stripe is how you are paid, not a separate kind of income. The sales are part of your turnover like any other, which is why they need to be in Xero properly. Your accountant can tell you how they are taxed.
Can it handle subscriptions and refunds?
Yes. Subscriptions, part and full refunds, and disputes are part of what the review checks, so the connector is built for the payments you actually take.
How much does a Stripe Xero integration cost?
It depends on how many places you take payments, the volume and your accountant's rules. We quote a fixed price in writing after a short review.
