Software and systems
App development for UK businesses, on phones and the web.
Apps for your staff and your customers, on iPhone, Android or the web. Sometimes a web app that opens on any phone is the better answer, and we say so.

When an app is the right answer
- Your staff record things in the field on paper, then type them up later.
- Customers call or message to do something they could do themselves.
- People work where there is no signal, and a website will not load.
- You have an idea for an app and want it built properly, not as a demo.
- You have an app nobody maintains, and it stopped working after a phone update.
What you get
A phone app
For iPhone, Android or both, taken through the App Store and Google Play.
An office side
A web app where managers see what was logged, booked or paid, and export it.
Works without signal
Where it matters, the app saves what people do and catches up when it can, as the ZooLog+ keeper app does.
Alerts to the right people
Push notifications and emails when something needs attention.
Accounts and safety
Sign-in, roles and backups, keeping only the data the app needs.
Updated and looked after
Tested on new phone versions, with fixes and store updates after launch.
How it works
A short paid review
We go through who will use the app, where and what for, and tell you whether it should be a phone app, a web app or both.
A fixed price for the build
You get the scope and a fixed price in writing. If you go ahead, what you paid for the review counts towards it.
Built in stages, on your phone
You try each part on your own phone as it is built, before it goes to the app stores.
Support afterwards
We look after it, with updates for new phone versions and an agreed amount of small changes each month.

- AppTyreStackEach fitter's day on their phone, with the office desk on a computer.
Questions
How much does app development cost in the UK?
It depends on the screens, the platforms and what the app joins to. We start with a short paid review, then quote a fixed price in writing for the build.
Do you build for iPhone and Android?
Yes. We can build one app that runs on both, or for one if that is where your users are.
Do I need a phone app or a web app?
If people need it without signal, need alerts, or use it many times a day, a phone app helps. If they use it now and then, a web app that opens on any phone is quicker to build and needs no app store. The review tells you which.
Do you put the app in the App Store and Google Play?
Yes. We prepare it, submit it and answer the review questions. Apple and Google decide when it goes live.
How long does it take to build an app?
It depends on the scope. The review gives you the timing with the fixed price, and you try the app on your own phone as it is built.
What happens after launch?
We look after it: updates for new phone versions, fixes and small changes, with an agreed amount each month.
