When bespoke software makes sense

What you get

How it works

  1. A short paid review

We go through how the business works today, what gets in the way, and write down what the software needs to do.

  2. A fixed price for the build

You get the scope and a fixed price in writing. If you go ahead, what you paid for the review counts towards it.

  3. Built in stages

You try each part as it is built. We move your data across and switch over on a day you choose.

  4. Support afterwards

We host it and look after it, with an agreed amount of small changes each month.

Software we have built

Software we have designed and built, and an automation for a Church of Scotland hall.

Working with us from anywhere in Scotland

zxn.uk is a trading name of Mediant Partners Ltd, registered in Scotland, with its registered office in Edinburgh. We work online rather than from a client office, so you can reach us by phone, WhatsApp, email or video call wherever you are. You deal with the people who build your software, from the first review to the support afterwards.

Questions

How much does bespoke software cost?

It depends on how many screens, rules and connections it needs. We start with a short paid review, then quote a fixed price in writing for the build. What you paid for the review counts towards it.

How long does bespoke software take to build?

It depends on the scope. The review gives you the timing alongside the fixed price, and you try each part as it is built.

Do you work with businesses in Edinburgh and Glasgow?

Yes. We are registered in Scotland and take on work from across Scotland and the rest of the UK. We work online, so where you are does not change how we work.

Is bespoke software better than an off-the-shelf product?

Not always. If a product fits how you work, use it. Bespoke makes sense when your process is what sets you apart, or when you are paying for a product your team works around. The review tells you which applies.

Can you take over software someone else built?

Often, yes. We look at it in the review and tell you plainly whether to keep it, fix it or replace it.

Do we have to meet in person?

No. We work by phone, video call, WhatsApp and email, and you see each part working as it is built.

Need software that fits how you work?

Tell us what you need. We reply by the next working day with a fixed price in writing.
