Website rescue and care
Hacked website repair for UK businesses.
If your site is showing spam, sending visitors somewhere else or carrying a Google warning, call us. We clean it, close the way in and check it stays clean.
A fixed price in writing before we touch anything. Asking is free.
Signs your website has been hacked
- Google shows “This site may be hacked” under your listing.
- Visitors land on another site, sometimes only from a phone or from Google.
- Pages you never wrote: pharmacy, casino or foreign-language spam.
- Your host has suspended the site or emailed you about malware.
- Admin users you do not recognise, or you cannot log in.
- Customers say their browser blocked your site.
One of these is enough to act on. Leaving it usually means more spam pages and a longer clean-up.
What the repair covers
Malware removed
Infected files, injected code and spam pages cleaned out of the site and its database.
The way in closed
Out-of-date plugins and themes updated or removed, passwords and keys changed, unknown admin users taken out.
Google warnings reviewed
We check Search Console and the main blocklists, then ask Google to review the site once it is clean.
A clean backup
A copy of the cleaned site, so there is a known good version to go back to.
A plain report
What we found, how they most likely got in, and what we changed.
Watched afterwards
We keep checking the site after the clean, and can look after it every month if you want.
What happens when you get in touch
You call or send the form
Tell us the web address and what you are seeing. No login needed yet.
We look from the outside
We check what visitors and Google see, and send you a fixed price in writing.
You say yes, we clean it
You give us access. We take a copy first, then clean the files and database and close the way in.
We check and keep watching
We re-scan, test the forms and pages, ask Google to review any warning, and keep an eye on it.
Sites we build and keep running
We have not published a rescue job yet. The closest proof is the websites we build and look after for our clients, with the same checks.
Questions
How do I know if my website has been hacked?
The usual signs are a Google warning under your listing, visitors being sent to another site, spam pages you did not write, a warning from your host, or admin users you do not recognise. If you are not sure, send us the address and we will look from the outside before quoting.
Can a hacked website be fixed?
Almost always. The malware is removed, the way in is closed and the site is checked again. If the site is very old or badly damaged, we tell you before we start and quote for a rebuild instead.
How long does a hacked website repair take?
Most cleans are a few hours of work once we have access. We give you the timing with the fixed price, so you know before you agree.
Will Google remove the “This site may be hacked” warning?
Once the site is clean we ask Google to review it through Search Console. Google decides, and its review can take several days. We keep you told.
Can I just restore an old backup?
Sometimes, if the backup is from before the break-in. But the hole they came through is still there, so it often happens again. We close the way in as well as cleaning.
Do you fix WordPress sites?
Yes. Most hacked sites we are asked about run on WordPress. If yours runs on something else, tell us what and we will say whether we can help before quoting.
Website hacked right now?
Tell us what you need. We reply by the next working day with a fixed price in writing.
